It’s pretty fun!
You touch down and enter through the gate to the ghost garden, exiting in the darkness. Memories of dragging Oreko’s body through here haunt you.
But that didn’t happen, did it? She’s right behind you. She’s breathing and she’s alive. Regardless of the validity of what happened earlier. Then again, this is all in your dreams, so it’s not really like it’s real anyways.
Yeah, it is!
A good start to our friendship, huh?
You touch down briefly to pick up a flower.
Uh. This is a flower.
You give it to her so that she can get a better look, and also because you’re still a giant sap. Oh well. You doubt she’ll understand the gesture.
Suddenly being out of the water and having to make use of her lungs makes her sputter and cough. She recovers soon afterwards, regulating her breathing after a bit of struggling with breathing pace.
Sabitsuki hands her a flower and she holds it delicately, turning it around in her hands and marveling at the pristine whiteness of it.
it’s pretty! it looks like you!
She’s mostly referring to the paleness of Sabitsuki’s skin and the whiteness of her hair, but she thinks she’s pretty too.
thank you sabitsuki!
You look back at her, a bit worried, but she soon recovers and you calm down, patting her back gently.
Yeah, it’s pretty dark here. This is one of the nicer places, though.
You flush when she say it’s pretty and that it looks like you, and rub the back of your neck and smile nervously.
Uh, thanks. And you’re welcome.
You exit the garden through the door and end up in the Nexus. You gesture towards the door to your room.
That’s my room. There’s more interesting places to go, though.
She stares around at the nexus, despite there not being much to look at. The unbroken silence of it makes her fully aware of her heartbeat and breathing, and she finds it slightly disconcerting.
is everything so dark up here?
She blinks at the door that seems to be standing on its own, not attached to anything. Are all the doors like that up here too?
i’ll go wherever you want i guess! you seem to know where you’re going
